DIRECTIONS/ROUTES TO CAMPING DU RUISSEAU DU TREIL, 46160 LARNAGOL, FRANCE, FROM THE UK AND EIRE.

By road:

The non -stop journey time from the North French coast is about 8 hours.

If you are approaching from the North, you can take the A20 autoroute (motorway) for quickness that runs North-South from Vierzon in the centre of France to Toulouse in the South.  North of Vierzon and Paris there are the A71 and A10 autoroutes, which lead to the A20.  You will need to leave the A20 at Jn 57 (North Cahors exit), which is about 45mins from us.  The road off the A20 is small and windy but OK for those towing a caravan.  Head for Cours (small village) on the D49 (about 4kms), pick up the D653 just after Cours and head South for Vers (about 5 kms), then bear left at the Vers (tiny village) small roundabout and you are on the D662.  There is lot of overhanging cliffs/rocks on the D662 but those with caravans make it OK, it is very picturesque.  You are now travelling due East and will pass through several villages along side the river Lot until you reach Larnagol in about 25mins.  Pass through the village, after 400 metres you come to a double bend, the site is sign posted to the left, where the entrance is about 40metres, on the right.

Make your way to Waterloo Station in London, and take the Eurostar (www.eurostar.com) train to the Paris North Station (La Gare du Nord).  From here take the underground (Metro) direct train to the Paris Austerlitz Station in Southern Paris, alternatively there are taxis available, but the journey takes you right across Paris and can be unpredictable time wise, by road. Here there are regular trains (www.sncf.com) running to our ‘local’ mainline station at Cahors, about 45mins away from Camping du Ruisseau du Treil, to the West.  It is advisable to book your seat depending in the time of travel.  A rather sparse bus service then connects Cahors to our camp site, take the bus that terminates at Figeac.  Alternatively taxis are available.  However it is highly recommended that you have use of a car at our site as it is a rural location.   Try www.arguscarhire.com  car hire from about £100/week.  The journey time from Paris to Cahors is about 5 hours and the cost is a lot less than UK trains, whilst the quality is superior.
